Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended three individuals accused of vandalizing and stealing a large quantity of electrical cables in Bororo village, Michika Local Government Area.
Suspects Caught in the Act
According to the police, the suspects were intercepted and arrested on Sunday, March 9, 2025, by a surveillance team attached to the Michika Divisional Police Headquarters. The individuals in custody have been identified as:
Emmanuel John (34 years old)
Habila Kwaji (21 years old)
Mohammed Garba (28 years old)
Confession and Ongoing Investigation
In a statement released on Monday, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed that the suspects were caught in possession of the stolen power cables. During the preliminary investigation, they allegedly confessed to the crime and remain in police custody for further investigation.
Authorities Issue a Strong Warning
The Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, commended his officers for their swift response and warned against vandalizing public infrastructure. He assured that anyone caught engaging in such acts would face strict legal action.
