Security Forces Repel Multiple Attacks, Recover Stolen Livestock
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Katsina Command, has successfully eliminated four suspected terrorists and repelled multiple attacks in Dutsinma Local Government Area of the state.
According to a statement released on Monday by the NSCDC Public Relations Officer, SC Buhari Hamisu, security operatives thwarted two separate attacks, including an assault on a university and an attempt to loot a government grain reserve.
Foiled Attack at Federal University Dutsinma
On February 21, 2025, heavily armed bandits stormed the Federal University Dutsinma (FUDMA) permanent site, using it as a route for their criminal activities.

NSCDC officers engaged the assailants in a gun battle.
Three terrorists were neutralized, including the notorious Ayuba Buzaru.
Three kidnapped victims were rescued.
Stolen livestock, including rustled goats, were recovered.
Another Attack Repelled at Special Grains Reserve
On February 23, 2025, terrorists launched an attack on the Federal Government Special Grains Reserve in Darawa, a facility that stores food supplies for Katsina, Zamfara, and Sokoto states.

Joint NSCDC and police operatives fought off the attackers.
One armed bandit was neutralized.
The remaining assailants fled with gunshot wounds.
The body of the slain terrorist was deposited at General Hospital Dutsinma.
