Gov Yusuf, 11 Others Honored at NIM Awards in Kano

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has been honored with the Managerial Support Award by the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Kano Chapter. Alongside him, 11 other distinguished personalities were also recognized for their contributions to management excellence.

The awards were presented at the NIM (Chartered) Kano Chapter Annual Dinner and Award Night 2024, held in Kano.

Recognizing Excellence in Management
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Chapter, Alh. Rabo Ado Shu’aibu, FNIM, emphasized the importance of capacity building and management development. He noted that the awardees were carefully selected based on their significant support towards the institute’s achievements in 2024.

Government’s Commitment to Management Development
Receiving the award on behalf of Governor Yusuf, Alhaji Musa Sulaiman Shanono, FNIM, Kano’s Commissioner for Ministry of Planning and Budget, reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to supporting NIM.

He also revealed that the government is working on a policy to register all civil servants aspiring for managerial positions with the Nigerian Institute of Management to enhance effective governance and administration in the state.
