Yakubu Dogara, former Speaker of the House of Representatives, has urged President Bola Tinubu to prioritize two major projects in Bauchi State—reviving oil exploration and constructing the Bagel Dam in Dass Local Government Area. Speaking at the commissioning of a road project in Toro LGA over the weekend, Dogara emphasized the transformative potential of these projects. “If President Tinubu awards and starts the Bagel Dam project and revisits oil exploration in Bauchi, does he even need to campaign here for 2027?” he asked the crowd, which responded with a resounding “Yes!”

Dogara highlighted the Bagel multipurpose dam as a critical infrastructure project that would supply electricity to all local governments in Bauchi South. This, he argued, would drive industrialization, create jobs, and boost the local economy.
“The Bagel Dam is not just a dam; it’s a catalyst for development. It will power industries, improve agriculture, and transform lives,” Dogara said.

“APC is very much alive in Bauchi. Those who think otherwise are only deceiving themselves. When the time comes, we will take back the state,” he declared confidently.
