Popular Nigerian comedian Zicsaloma, known for his hilarious skits, has addressed speculations surrounding his recent rhinoplasty in Turkey, revealing that the procedure was done as part of a collaboration with the hospital—meaning he didn’t pay for it.
How the Collaboration Happened
In a YouTube video shared on Friday, Zicsaloma explained that while he covered the cost of his visa and flight to Turkey, the hospital took care of the surgery in exchange for publicity.
“I won’t call it free, but it was a collaboration between me and the hospital,” he said.
He revealed that the clinic first caught his attention on Instagram and TikTok when he saw them working with a Black client. After reaching out for pricing, they offered him a deal due to his large social media following.
Breakdown of the Surgery Cost
Zicsaloma shared insights into the cost of cosmetic procedures at the hospital:
Rhinoplasty (Nose Job): $5,000 – $6,000
Eye Rejuvenation & Temporary Facelift: $2,500 each
Doctor’s Consultation Fee: $300 – $400 (which he didn’t pay for)
Addressing Critics: ‘I’ve Always Been Insecure About My Nose’
Since undergoing the procedure, the comedian has faced backlash from critics who accused him of low self-esteem. However, he candidly admitted that his nose had always been a major insecurity for him.
“I’ve always had a very flat nose. Right from childhood, I felt that if I had the chance, I would change it. My siblings used to tease me about it, saying, ‘Your nose is too ugly, your nose is too big.’ I carried my papa’s nose in excess.”
‘Surgery Addiction? Not Me!’
Zicsaloma dismissed concerns that he might become addicted to cosmetic surgery.
“I only changed what I wanted to change. I didn’t like my side profile in my videos because of my nose, and now it has changed. That’s it. I can never get addicted to surgery.”
He also responded to comments about other aspects of his looks, saying:
“I have no issues with my forehead, I don’t have issues with my mouth. If you feel it’s too big, na you sabi. I like my mouth like that. Do you know how many people go for lip filling to get full lips like mine?”
‘My Children’s Nose? That’s Their Business’
When asked about how his future children might inherit his old nose, he dismissed the concern altogether.
“What if they’re okay with it? Let them come with the old nose na. Do you even know if I want biological children or if I want to adopt? Leave my children out of it.”
Final Results Will Take Time
The comedian revealed that while he’s happy with the results, it will take one to two years for the final look to fully settle.
With cosmetic surgery becoming more accepted, Zicsaloma is standing firm in his decision, urging people to focus on their own insecurities instead of judging others.
