Not a Quitter, But a Leader
“This moment is deeply significant, and while my tenure was short-lived, it remains memorable. I want to assure the people of Lagos that I am not a quitter. However, to prevent further conflicts and embarrassment, I have chosen to step down as Speaker.”

“To those who have been criticized for standing on the side of fairness, remember that there will always be opportunities to right any wrongs.
“I deeply appreciate the overwhelming support I received through calls, messages, and visits during my tenure. Party decisions are supreme, and I respect that.
“At this moment, I take a bow as Speaker of this great House. Thank you, and may God bless you all.”
