Afrobeats Star Ruger Embraces His “Heartbreak Master” Persona
Nigerian singer Michael Adebayo Olayinka, popularly known as Ruger, has made it clear—he’s not changing his music style anytime soon. The Afrobeats star, known for his heartbreak anthems and toxic relationship themes, says he has no plans to rebrand or switch up his signature lyrics.
Ruger: “I Am the Heartbreak Master”
During a recent Instagram Live session with fans, Ruger boldly stated that he embraces his image as the king of toxic love songs.
“I’m not undergoing any rebranding anytime soon. I am the heartbreak master, the toxic relationship master, the scattered relationship master. So, you can’t change who I am,” he declared.
“I Love Women” – Ruger Clarifies
Despite his lyrical themes, the “Bounce” hitmaker reassured fans that his music is not a reflection of how he treats women in real life.
“Women know that I love them. I love women with my whole heart. I’m very nice and sweet to women. Every woman I have been with knows that I am nice and sweet to them,” he explained.
Fans React to Ruger’s Statement
Ruger’s stance has sparked mixed reactions among fans. While some applaud him for staying true to his brand, others believe he should explore new themes in his music. Either way, one thing is certain—Ruger isn’t backing down from his “toxic” lyrics anytime soon.
