“PDP Vows to Sack APC Lawmakers in Delta Central by 2027 – State Chairman”

A Bold Declaration

The Delta State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Solomon Arenyeka, has vowed to unseat All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers in Delta Central during the 2027 general elections. Speaking at the inauguration of the Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency Forum in Ughelli on Saturday, Arenyeka expressed confidence in the PDP’s ability to reclaim the federal constituency seats. He also praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s performance, stating that Deltans remain committed to his re-election in 2027.

Arenyeka’s Confidence in PDP’s Victory

Chief Solomon Arenyeka emphasized the unity and determination of the PDP in Delta State, particularly in Delta Central. He congratulated the people of Ughelli/Udu Federal Constituency for coming together to ensure the party’s victory in 2027. “We will sack the APC federal lawmakers in Delta Central by 2027. The people of Delta South and all other parts of the state remain irrevocably committed to Governor Oborevwori’s re-election,” he declared.

Arenyeka’s statement reflects the PDP’s confidence in its grassroots support and its belief in Governor Oborevwori’s leadership. The party chairman highlighted the governor’s developmental achievements as a key factor in securing the people’s loyalty.

Deputy Governor on Zoning and Political Stability

Delta State Deputy Governor, Sir Monday Onyeme, also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of zoning in maintaining political stability in the state. He noted that the rotational system for political offices, particularly the governorship, has been a cornerstone of Delta’s political landscape since 1999.

“Delta is a very peaceful state, and since 1999, we were the first to embrace governorship rotation. It has been working very well for us. All previous governors served eight years, and this time around, it will not be different because Governor Oborevwori ‘dey work, and Deltans dey see am,’” Onyeme stated.

The deputy governor reiterated that the zoning system ensures a balanced and equitable distribution of political power among the state’s diverse ethnic groups, reinforcing the PDP’s dominance in Delta politics.

Speaker Guwor’s Assurance of Unity

The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, echoed the sentiments of unity and determination within the PDP. He assured attendees that the party is fully prepared to secure victory in all eight local government areas of Delta Central in the 2027 elections.

“What we have done today is to show that the Federal Constituency stands united to return Governor Oborevwori to Government House in 2027. We are all united, and I can assure you that the PDP will win the entire eight local government areas in Delta Central. Governor Oborevwori would win again with the massive support of Deltans,” Guwor said.

The speaker’s remarks underscored the party’s confidence in its grassroots mobilization and the widespread support for Governor Oborevwori’s administration.

Governor Oborevwori’s Performance

The PDP leaders at the event unanimously praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for his developmental strides and commitment to the welfare of Deltans. They highlighted his achievements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and job creation as key reasons for the party’s strong support base.

Arenyeka, Onyeme, and Guwor all emphasized that the governor’s performance has solidified the PDP’s position as the dominant political force in Delta State. They expressed optimism that his re-election in 2027 would further consolidate the party’s hold on power.

A Call for Unity and Mobilization

The inauguration of the Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency Forum marked a significant step in the PDP’s preparations for the 2027 elections. The event brought together party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters to strategize and mobilize for the upcoming polls.

With a united front and a clear strategy, the PDP is positioning itself for a strong showing in the next general elections.
