The Katsina Local Government elections kicked off on Saturday, with voters across the state heading to the polls. Among those who participated in the electoral process were notable political figures, including former President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Dikko Radda.

Buhari Votes in Daura
Former President Muhammadu Buhari exercised his civic duty at Polling Unit 003, Sarkin Yarn Ward A in Daura. He was accompanied by the Commissioner for Special Duties, Adnan Na-Habu Daura, with both casting their votes at around 11:09 AM.

Governor Radda, Former Governors Also Cast Votes
Governor Dikko Radda, alongside his wife, Zulaihat Radda, and Deputy Governor Faruk Jobe, also voted in the election. Other prominent figures, including former Katsina State governors Ibrahim Shema and Aminu Masari, as well as serving senators and ministers, took part in the voting process in their respective polling units.

Radda Confident of APC Victory
After casting his vote at Kofar Katika Polling Unit in Radda Ward, Charanchi LGA, Governor Radda expressed confidence in the All Progressives Congress (APC) winning the election. He attributed his optimism to the various projects executed under his administration.

“I believe that at the end of the exercise, with the kind of projects executed since we came on board, we believe so much in APC and APC will come out victorious. People should expect their votes to be counted,” Radda assured.

With voting underway, all eyes are on the results to see if APC will indeed claim victory as Radda predicts.
