“Destiny Etiko Demands N100 Million from Queeneth Hilbert Over Defamation Claims”

Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko has taken legal action against her colleague, Queeneth Hilbert, following allegations that she has been “snatching” colleagues’ boyfriends. Etiko has filed a N100 million defamation lawsuit, demanding a retraction, a public apology, and compensation for damages.

The drama began when Queeneth Hilbert took to social media to accuse Etiko of stealing her wealthy boyfriend and other colleagues’ partners. The allegations quickly went viral, prompting Etiko to respond with a cease-and-desist letter through her legal team.

The Legal Battle
In the letter, signed by her lawyers Chisom Onugah and C.C. Nwabundo, Etiko gave Queeneth 48 hours to:

Retract the defamatory statements.

Issue a public apology.

Pay N100 million in damages for the harm caused to her reputation.

Etiko also shared the legal notice on her Instagram page, vehemently denying the accusations. She claimed that Queeneth made the allegations to gain “material benefits” and tarnish her image.

What Sparked the Feud?
The conflict stems from Queeneth’s social media posts, where she accused Etiko of being involved in romantic relationships with her boyfriend and other colleagues’ partners. These claims quickly gained traction online, leading to widespread speculation and backlash against Etiko.

Destiny Etiko’s Response
In her Instagram post, Etiko stated:
“I have never and will never engage in such behavior. These allegations are false, malicious, and intended to damage my reputation. I will not stand by while my name is dragged through the mud.”

Etiko’s legal team emphasized that the accusations have caused significant emotional distress and harm to her career, warranting the N100 million compensation.

What’s Next?
With the 48-hour ultimatum in place, all eyes are on Queeneth Hilbert to see if she will comply with Etiko’s demands. If she fails to do so, the case could escalate to a full-blown legal battle, setting the stage for one of Nollywood’s most high-profile defamation lawsuits.
