In a shocking and heartbreaking incident, a man in Adamawa State has lost his life after being stabbed by his younger brother during a heated argument over a piece of meat worth N200. The incident occurred on Sunday, March 9, 2025, in Waltadi community, Dunme, Song Local Government Area. According to witnesses, the two brothers, Monday Murya (a butcher) and Friday Murya, got into a heated argument after Friday took a piece of meat worth N200 without paying for it.
Monday demanded payment, but Friday refused, leading to a physical altercation. In a fit of rage, Monday grabbed a knife and stabbed Friday.
A Second Victim: Another Brother Injured
The violence didn’t end there. When their elder brother, Sinairu Murya, tried to intervene and separate the two, Monday turned on him as well, stabbing him too. Sinairu was rushed to Dumne Cottage Hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment for his injuries.
A Life Lost: Friday Succumbs to Injuries
Friday, who sustained severe injuries from the stabbing, was rushed to the Modibbo Adama Teaching Hospital in Yola. Unfortunately, he did not survive and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
The community is now mourning the loss of Friday while grappling with the shocking nature of the incident.

As of Tuesday morning, the Adamawa State Police Command had not officially commented on the incident. The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Nguroje, stated that he had not been briefed on the matter.
