“ACF Has No Political Value to Stop Tinubu” – Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso
Alhaji Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, the Director of Finance at Hadejia Jama’are River Basin, has thrown his weight behind President Bola Tinubu, declaring that the North will overwhelmingly support him in the 2027 elections.
Reacting to criticisms from the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), Illiyasu Kwankwaso dismissed the group’s influence, stating that it lacks the political relevance to block Tinubu’s re-election bid.
ACF’s Influence Questioned
🔥 “Most of you in this forum were in power for decades, but what did you do for the North? Nothing. Rather, you only served your personal interests,” Kwankwaso said.
He accused ACF leaders like Solomon Dalung, Najaatu Muhammad, and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of having little to show for their time in government.
Tinubu’s Contributions to Northern Nigeria
Kwankwaso praised Tinubu’s administration, insisting that his leadership has already brought massive development projects to the North, including:
✅ Northwest Development Commission – Spearheaded by Senator Barau Jibrin, with over ₦600 billion allocated.
✅ Kano Metro Rail Project – ₦150 billion approved for construction.
✅ Ongoing Infrastructure Boom – Kwankwaso described Northern Nigeria as a massive project site, with many more initiatives in the pipeline.
Ganduje’s Leadership Strengthens APC
Supporting APC National Chairman Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, Illiyasu Kwankwaso credited him for the wave of defections from opposition parties to the APC.
🔹 “Apart from winning multiple states in run-off elections, Ganduje is receiving Senators, House of Representatives members, and top opposition leaders into the APC daily.”
🔹 “In Kano, Senator Barau Jibrin has weakened NNPP, with many former commissioners and party leaders switching allegiance to the APC.”
2027: Tinubu’s Re-election a Done Deal?
With these developments, Kwankwaso believes Tinubu’s 2027 victory is inevitable, claiming opposition figures like Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and his Kwankwasiyya movement are losing political ground.
💬 “The North should wait till 2031 to reclaim power,” he asserted, backing Ganduje’s position that the region should support Tinubu for a second term before seeking its turn in leadership.
