Moto G Power (2025) Arrives with Upgrades – Here’s What You Need to Know!

Bigger, Tougher, and Still Affordable at $300

Motorola is back with its latest budget powerhouse—the Moto G Power (2025)—designed specifically for the US market. Priced at $300 for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, this phone brings some welcome refinements while keeping its budget-friendly appeal.

Unboxing: Simple and Eco-Friendly

The Moto G Power (2025) arrives in a plain cardboard box with a USB-C cable inside. No frills, no unnecessary extras—just the essentials. Our review unit comes in Slate Grey, though it leans more slate than grey in real life.

Design & Build: Vegan Leather for the Win!

One of the standout features of this year’s model is the vegan leather back, similar to the Edge 50 Neo. This grippy, fingerprint-resistant finish adds a touch of class, while the matte plastic sides are a bit more slippery.

But durability is where Motorola has stepped up—IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, plus MIL-STD-810H certification for fall resistance, make this one of the toughest Moto G Power models yet!

Bigger Display, Familiar Specs

Motorola slightly upsized the 6.7-inch display from last year to 6.8 inches while keeping the 120Hz IPS LCD and 1080p resolution. It’s still a solid panel, though we can’t help but wish for OLED instead.

Performance & Software: Small Changes, Same Power

Running Android 15 with Motorola’s light skin, the Moto G Power (2025) features the 6nm Dimensity 6300 chip—a slight sidestep rather than an upgrade from the Dimensity 7020 of last year’s model.

The 8GB RAM, 5,000mAh battery, 30W wired charging, and 15W wireless charging remain unchanged from the previous generation.

Final Thoughts: Tougher, But Is It Better?

The biggest improvement this year is durability, but performance remains largely the same. At $300, the Moto G Power (2025) still offers solid value, but will its side-grade processor hold up against the competition? Stay tuned for our full review!
