The Cole Family Issues Statement Denying Son’s Alleged Matrimony with Wofai Fada
The Cole family, based in Victoria Island, Lagos, has publicly disowned any marital ties between their son, Taiwo Cole, and Nollywood actress/comedian Wofai Fada. In an official statement signed by Engineer Kunle Cole on behalf of the family, they asserted that neither acquaintances, relatives, nor friends are aware of any marriage between Taiwo Olakitan Cole and Wofai Fada. They emphasized that no authorization was given for such an event, urging the public to disregard any publications or documents circulated regarding the alleged wedding.

The statement came in response to circulating images and videos purportedly showing Taiwo Cole marrying Wofai Fada in a traditional ceremony in Ugep, Cross River State. Despite these claims, the Cole family clarified that they have no knowledge of such an event and did not provide consent or support for it. They made it clear that individuals claiming affiliation with the Cole heritage due to this purported marriage are neither recognized nor accepted by the family.
The announcement also addressed speculations about Wofai Fada’s pregnancy, which surfaced alongside the alleged marriage reports. However, no official confirmation or denial regarding the pregnancy was provided.
This disavowal follows Wofai Fada’s previous social media posts, where she shared affectionate photos with her partner, whose identity she chose to keep private. The images depicted the couple displaying an engagement ring and hinting at an upcoming wedding in 2024, although no official date had been announced at that time.
The Cole family’s statement serves to clarify their stance on the matter and dispel any misinformation surrounding the alleged marriage, reaffirming their position as unrelated to the reported union.
