Renowned Nigerian actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has shared a deeply personal experience about how her recent gallbladder removal surgery left her with scars, affecting her once “perfect” tummy.

The movie star, in a heartfelt Instagram post on Saturday, reflected on how the emergency surgery in late 2024 changed her body and, at one point, tested her confidence.

“I’m Alive, It’s Just Scars”
Speaking candidly in a video post, Omotola revealed:

“Late last 2024, I had emergency surgery. My tummy is one of the best parts of my body, but it is not so perfect now.”

She went on to describe how, during a recent photoshoot, she instinctively adjusted her top, only to hear a nagging inner voice reminding her of the scars. However, the actress refused to let it shake her confidence.

“Not me! What will shake my confidence has not been created. I smiled and danced. I’m alive, it’s just scars. Some people’s scars are physical, while some are emotional.”

Omotola’s Inspiring Message on Body Positivity
The actress’ openness has sparked discussions about self-love and body positivity, with fans applauding her for embracing her scars as a symbol of strength and survival.

Omotola had previously disclosed in November 2024 that she battled a life-threatening illness, making this revelation even more profound.

Her message serves as a powerful reminder that scars—whether physical or emotional—tell stories of resilience and triumph.
