Mr Macaroni Vows to Snub Governor Sanwo-Olu Again

Popular comedian and activist, Adebowale “Debo” Adedayo, better known as Mr Macaroni, has reaffirmed his stance on avoiding Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at public events.

Past Encounters and Unresolved Tensions
Mr Macaroni has previously been seen avoiding the governor at public gatherings. In one particular instance, he was reportedly forced to acknowledge Sanwo-Olu, an exchange that sparked heated debates online.

Now, taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, the comedian has made it crystal clear that he will not be pressured into any future interactions with the governor.

Mr Macaroni’s Bold Declaration
Expressing his frustration over the backlash he has received for his stance, he wrote:

“This is the last time I will address this matter. It is not worth my peace of mind.

Since you people won’t stop attacking me because I didn’t greet Governor Sanwo-Olu, next time I see him, I still won’t greet him.

And this time, even if he calls me, I won’t answer. You people will cry today, tomorrow, and forever!”

Why the Bad Blood?
Mr Macaroni’s grudge against Sanwo-Olu is widely believed to be connected to his arrest during the 2021 #EndSARS protests, where he was detained alongside other protesters demanding police reforms.

The comedian has since been vocal about human rights, governance, and police brutality, frequently using his platform to hold public officials accountable.
