Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of the late Nigerian music star Mohbad, has opened up about their love story, revealing that they first connected on the popular social media app 2Go as teenagers.

A Love Story That Began in Teenage Years
In a recent interview with TVC, Omowunmi shared that she met Mohbad 12 years ago when she was just 13 years old, and he was 15. Their friendship, which started through online chats, soon blossomed into a romantic relationship.

“I met him when I was 13 on 2Go. That was 12 years ago. I used to be a rapper, and he sang too, so we started as friends. We were very young then. He proposed a relationship to me, and I accepted. We later got married and had a child together,” she revealed.

The Tragic Loss of Mohbad and Ongoing Controversies
Mohbad tragically passed away on September 12, 2023, under circumstances that have continued to stir controversy. Within 24 hours of his death, his father, Joseph Aloba, arranged for his burial in Ikorodu, Lagos State. However, growing suspicions surrounding his demise led to the exhumation of his body on September 21 for an autopsy.

To date, the autopsy results remain pending, leaving fans and family members awaiting clarity on the cause of his death.

Call for DNA Test Before Reburial
Adding to the ongoing family disputes, Joseph Aloba has insisted that his late son will only be reburied after the autopsy results are released and a DNA test is conducted on his grandson, Liam, to confirm his paternity.

With these unresolved matters, Mohbad’s tragic passing continues to dominate discussions, as fans and loved ones seek justice and closure.
