Afrobeats star Davido and his fiancée, Chef Chioma, are celebrating their upcoming wedding this week. The couple, who have been engaged for some time, shared their joy with followers by posting beautiful pre-wedding pictures on Instagram.
The photos showcase three modern African traditional outfits designed by renowned Nigerian designers: Ugo Monye, Lucky Enemuo, Jennifer Rowland, Ntukokwu Obinna Samuel of Samuel Noon, and Xtra Brides Lagos.
Chioma’s outfits were complemented by flawless makeup from Pamela Morgan, an updo hairstyle by Adefunkeee, and gele by Taiwo’s Touch.
In one shoot, the couple chose a gold and yellow color theme, with Davido sitting on a royal chair, holding his staff, while Chioma stood by his right, holding an African wand.
In another theme, they glammed up in all-black outfits, standing against a backdrop adorned with various shades of yellow.
Davido, also known as David Adeleke, comes from the Adeleke royal family of Ede in Osun State. Their choice of traditional attire for the pre-wedding shoot is a nod to Davido’s royal heritage.
Davido confirmed that he was formally hitched to Chioma in an interview with media personality Kiekie early last year.
